Some people have waaaaay too much time on their hands.....

WOW! That's actually a great modeling job!
There's an entire hobby dedicated to making custom computer cases- many of the are just fucking incredible.
I saw a guy build a case that was a panel from the Discovery with the HAL eye.
The eye lit up and the computer had various HAL sayings swapped for the windows startup etc.

I've seen nice Gieger-esque "biomechanical" boxes as well.
I NEED this sooooo bad.
Trek USB drive.

Forget TOS communicator, I either want the TNG Isolinear chip, or the DS9 Optolythic Data Rod.

Better be careful - you can only save your work once!

I have plenty of experience in biology. I bought a Tamagotchi in 1998... And... it's still alive.

I used to have an Isolinear Rod "prop" from the gift shop at the Star Trek Experience- it's probably available on Ebay- and would take a USB drive easily!

A great idea- I may try it out!
Most USB drives are just the metal plug and a very small chip- easily concealed in the acrylic of the "isolenear rod" (which is just cut clear acrylic and cut vinyl).
