... a year and two days, actually, since the Behaviour Group Forums went down during a massive hack of Virtual PC's servers. It's been quite a ride, eh?

Why exactly would you remember such a date?

Well, I know I remember that December 12, 1997 was the date that the original UP and Forums were going to close because of the "Antaries Shipyard" copyright incident. I guess certain dates just stick w/ people...

'Cause the original one-year UBB license for the SFCR expired on the day I posted the thread, and I know it was purchased two days after the hack. :-)

(We now are using an owned version of the UBB - no more worries about the yearly charge.)

And I remember December 12, 1997 as a drunken bacchanal while celebrating my birthday.

At least I think I remember it.

I don't remember it, probably because I found this place after the crash.

Even then, we've had a new board, crash again, forums turning red, exile to TNO and then here. Definitely an interesting ride.

Wasn't there a board between BG hack and SFCR?

Wasn't it BG to SFCR-1 to SFCR-2 to SFCR-2a? Not that I was around...

There was a VantageNet Forum between the BG forums and the SFCR, yes. And both a Temp Forums and WWWBoard between SFCR-1 and SFCR-2, as you're calling them.

Aye, lad, I remember all the way back when the BG forums were WWWBoards! So don't pull senority on me!"

And I remember when Frank first posted, still having trouble with spaces between your words, Frank?
