Good Morning, Forumites

If you've been to the Flameboard lately, you'll find that several topics > 150 posts have been locked. This is due to a rather serious bug in the forums. Our good leader Charles is on the case and is trying his darned best to squash this pesky bug.

The bug affects topics with a large number of posts. These posts are usually found in the Flameboard, OL, Starships and Tech, and the Forum Contests.

We'd like to ask your cooperation with regards to this bug. Temporary measures will be made until this bug is fixed. We'd like to ask you to notify the appropriate mod/admin if you see any thread approaching the 150 post mark. The thread will then be closed, and members are permitted to start a new one (unless directed otherwise by Mod/Admin).

Hopefully this bug will be dealt with before it causes more serious problems.

Muchos Gracias for your cooperation.
Tahna

That's a very interesting bug you've got there.

You may have fixed that one, but many others are popping up now. Clicking on the page 3 link for the Borg Queen question brings me to page 2; 3 seems to have vanished. Same thing wit hthe Political Compass deal.

Weird shit, Bubba.

OK, Charles, I'm going to errr... bug you with this one again. Is there anyway of having this reply box - this one I'm typing in - to not end up off the end of the page... i.e. have the box so its entirely visible - instead of when you get to about 11 lines, having to scroll down? I think there might be too much in this reply page ABOVE the actual box??? Two clicks of the right hand scroll bar gets be down to having the box totally in the screen.

Tanx

Andrew

You might want to try a higher screen resolution. Nothing wrong with the reply message page here.

Funny, normally we get complaints about the box being too SMALL... *L*

What resolution are you at, on what system, in what browser, using what font size?

Welp, I'm running with 800x640 pixels on a Windows 95 system, using Netscape Communicator 4.73 and 12pt font... what I've been using (except the different versions of NSC) since the old boards in 1997.

I'm at 1280x1024, but my browser windows are at ~800 pixels wide... The Add Reply box is designed to go down all the way to 640x480, so...

12 point font size at 800 x 600 (are you sure you meant 640? 800 x 600 is the common screen size)?

Andrew, mate, you've either got the tiniest monitor ever, or you need glasses. How big's your monitor anyway? Unless it's 15 inch, I'd shuftie up to 1024 x 768. In fact, I'd probably do that anyway. I'm using a laptop here, and 1024 x 769 is fine. And the reply box fits on one screen.

1024x769? Little bit of a Freudian slip there, Liam? :-)
