On ebay a few weeks ago, searching for a model of the Defiant, I came across a line of Star Trek ships produced by a company called "Furtura."

The description that I read was of "micro-machine" sized ships, produced for a limited run in Japan. I was able to win a bid on a Defiant, and it arrived today.

I wasn't expecting anything more than a Japanese version of the micro-machine.

Was I ever wrong.

The Defiant is a snap-together model (the pieces hold together very well), maybe 5" long. Highly detailed, including the concaved underside.

Other ships in the line, off the top of my head, include the Enterprise-A, Equinox, Cardassian cruiser, DS9, and the Stargazer.

Equinox and KBOP are very nicely done as well.
I'm even making a nice K'Tinga variant from two Futura bases. [Wink]
Constalation is an excellent little model (and small enough to be fodder for my modeling "parts box".
Rekiant and Enterprise A are strangly enough, not in scale with each other.
The Vor'CHa is okay and has nice detailing but the bridge and hangar are kinda blobed on to make them more castable.
Same with the Galor's bridge.

Avoid the "candy".

Hey, M.S., YOu live in the states? I got a couple o' extras is you'd like them. [Wink]

Skip the Warbird though, the Hallmark ornament from a few years back is the same size, twice as detailed, lights up and is only $10. [Wink]

bUy the Nova, Defiant, Equinox, KBOP, Constalation and the amazing8472 Bioship.

Actually, I've won a couple. So much so I'm going to try to avoid ever using it again. It's damn addictive. 8)
