Although some people would argue that post-season 4 Futurama "isn't what it used to be" (when it's marvelous that it still exists, period), the episode "Möbius Dick" was for me one of their best returns to form lately. The crew investigates the Bermuda Tetrahedron (yes, we are FINALLY back to nerd jokes), and without spoiling the ep I just wanted to show one frame of the episode, when Professor Farnsworth meets a number of people, once caught in a 4th dimension whale belly.
It's been long since they got so many things right in a single episode, I wanted to share some of it, for those who still haven't tried the new seasons:

Yeah I noticed that, very funny. I've heard the complaining about the "new" Futurama not being funny but I think that's more a symptom of the show not having had new content for so long, Adult Swim and Comedy Central showing reruns ad nauseum.

I agree - it had lost some of it's snappiness. It's good but it needs to rely less on gimmicks and more on heart - that's what made original Futurama and indeed Early Simpsons superior to all else.

The current season has been pretty weak, but last year had some real winners. "The Late Philip J Fry" was an instant classic, and "The Prisoner of Benda" was hilarious, especially when you realize that the writers developed their own mathematical proof for the solution to the plot. And I really enjoyed "Attack of the Killer App" too.
This summer's episodes have been mostly gimmicks and not as amusing. Though I did like last night's episode about Zoidberg.

Yeah they still know how to make those heartwarming episodes, like one where Bender learns his memory was never backed up, so when he dies he'll truly be dead.

I agree with all that, with one caveat, I hate Hermes so much. He's had one (1) good joke in the whole show, the very first one, and he was absolutely brilliant in the whole scene, then after the pilot he immediately got shit lines and infuriatingly stupid plot arcs.
Listen to that first clip, the voice pitch is darker, his attitude is sardonic and experienced, giving a feeling of gravitas. Imagine if they'd played him like that for the rest of the show? With him talking with his glasses on the tip of his nose and head tilted slightly forwards, he could've been a cosy and "Told you so"-ish Wanda Sykes dude. He could've been secretive about his history and past, instead of breaking out in lame musical numbers like it's Nickelodeon.
Instead he's got the racist "Sweet *jamaican attribute* of *jamaican attribute*, jokes about Limbo and Jerky, and he yells "MAAANWICH!" almost every episode. At least Jar-Jar had the excuse of being functionally retarded, Hermes is just a dork.

That was one of the most quotable episodes in a long time.
"I can conceive of gravies that would boggle your tiny mind."
"Wait. This isn't a barrel. It's just a stinking cask! I want my money back! Ow! Ow! Aah! Aah! Ow! ... That was not worth $3,000."
And of course the video game "World of World War II 3", which finished the round with "GAME ÜBER". I had this music playing in my head during the whole scene.
