Hi!

I'm searching for meshes of these two starships:

http://www.desktopstarships.com/StGallery/StImagepages/St_452.html

(Universe Class ?)

http://www.desktopstarships.com/StGallery/StImagepages/St_454.html

The images say they were created by Rob Caves.

Does anyone know him?

Does anyone know where I can get/download the meshes?

Any format would be good, but I'd prefer Lightwave, 3D Max or 3DS.

Thanks

yikes. do you want these meshes so that you can stage scenes of their violent destruction thankfully never to be seen again?

anyway, there's an email addie for the render artist at the bottom. looks like orin@subspacemail.com. might try there to start.

And the images are so dark that you can hardly see anything anyway... [Wink]

Well, yeah: we are.
We're helping to steer ou away from horible, unlikely designs with no reason to exist outside of ship/penis envy.

If you really like the first design, you could assemble the parts yourself: it's mainly a galaxy saucer turned 90 degrees, a Ambassador secondary hull and a couple of boxy things on the aft of the saucer.

Very horrible design to be sure but little reflection on you personally.

Although it is Thanksgiving and New Members are occasionally served when turkey runs low...

Or when turkey gets expensive.

ok. I'm not determined at these to models.

I love the Souvereign Class design and I'd like to have a model of this style with three or more nacells and/or a sensor turret like the Nebula Class.

That's all.

and btw: I'd don't like these gun turrets of the first model, too.

The reason why I ask for models here is that I'm not very experienced in making models myself.

Mostly, I download models I like and make some animations.

OT: today is Thanksgiving? Sorry, but I live in Germany ;-)

Play nice now guys, I'm sure i saw the designs for at least one of these horrors on this site, so maybe the designer knows where Rob might be contacted? Mr Caves used to run one of the biggest Trek mesh sites around, although the majority of the stuff on it was of this kind of quality and he wasn't averse to using other peoples meshes as the basis for his own Trek ships. I think if you search for Rob Caves you'll find him all over the fan-film sites as he's helping make some new trek fan series, and one of those is bound to link to a site or e-mail address.

Great, another fellow countryman, albeit with a strange taste in ships....no, just kidding. [Wink]

What I dislike most about these pics are the windows on the ships. Far to many and with completely senseless size-differences.
