This story is supposed to be a TNG episode.
This is a partial prologue... mabye i'll work on it mabye not. I bet you can guess what its about by the title.

" A c Q i s a t i o n s "

prologue

William Riker wasn’t prepared for the weather at Hakora peak, its jagged rocks coated with ice made it especially hard to climb, especially at this time at night. The cool blue glow of the planets rings were the only thing illuminating the mountain’s intimidating but beautiful surface. Feeling stuck, he looked up at the brilliant arches above. Although explained by science, he still found the regenerative properties of the rings magical in a way. Thinking about how the radiation was giving life to every cell in his body, how he was actually growing younger when he was here, and with that thought, he blindly reached upward and clasped another rock. This rock was different from the others his numb hands had felt in his past six hours of climbing. It was dry, warm, and air was coming out from beneath it. Attempting to investigate this oddity, he pulled himself up onto the ledge surrounding this rock, and looked downward into the area surrounding the rock. A reddish glow gleamed off his face (which regardless of the numbingly cold temperature, was beading with sweat). This wasn’t a mountain, it was… the red-orange viscous liquid rushed upward, but before he could see it any more the steam seared his face. Almost simultaneously, his left arm swung up to his chest, tapped the commbadge underneath his climb gear and yelled.
“Riker to Enterprise, get me outta here!!!”
Not even a second later Riker was surrounded by the familiar blue-white glow accompanied by a tingling sensation. Just as the transport completed, the white-hot liquid rock death burst open, the entire face of the mountain, luckily there were no colonies near.

“I don't understand Will, we have some of the most sophisticated holographic recreation technology in the galaxy on good ol’ deck fifteen, and you still need to endanger yourself like this, for what? An adrenaline rush?” Beverly almost angrily stated as she waved a dermal regenerator over his forehead and cheeks.
“You would think these show some experience... out there?” Will bragged as he pointed to his three command pips.
“Well stick to the holosuite for the time being, those Bak’u mountain ranges seem almost as unpredictable as those of Vulcan.” Beverly put the regenerator away.
“Yes ma’am!” Will smiled and strolled away.
Minutes later, a comm tone reverberated its way though surfaces of sickbay.
“Picard to Crusher. Prepare to receive incoming wounded.
Beverly immediately grabbed a hypospray and faced the main biobed. Four bight blue humanoid figures formed on the floor near the biobed, Picard, Aniij, Sojef, and Artim formed.

**chases the tumbleweed** Damn thing stole my hotdog.

All right, it's a good start to a story. I liked it a good bit. Are you planning on posting the whole sequel somewhere?

Why were Picard and the others bright blue? It's some blueberry sex thing that got out of hand isn't it?

I'm getting old and forgetful, remind me, was Wes one of the noobs we hated, and if so what was his particular schtick? Was he the one that spawned the "Great Idea!!!" meme? 8)

I wish the Recent Posts feature wasn't limited as to number of results but let you search all the way back through your posting history - as all other post-UBB forum software seems to let you do! - it'd be fun to see How It All Started.
