NCC-5000 is the most hideous, most useless, most ridiculous Federation starship design I have ever seen, an atrocious mish-mash of FASA megaphasers and suck-my-torp photon launchers clamped on every which way after having sex with Andromeda.

And I love it. Love it, love it, love it. I don't know how you made what ought to be a monstrosity manage to actually look graceful . . . a 240-odd meter Federation space ballerina of death . . . but you did.

Still, the extra volume and mass mixed with the reactor requirements would give that thing an operating cruise range of about 15 feet even if the captain's chair was a deuterium storage pod. But who cares? The Sisko Himself would've smiled upon it for its visible, no-nonsense deterrence factor. I can imagine that thing slipping out of Spacedock (if it even can) and an invading enemy fleet around Earth going "y'know, perhaps this was a bad plan."

Of course, I'm also nutty enough to have a thing for the Timeship Lynx, so I may not be the best judge.

That's quite the multimedia assortment of ships you have there, Nathan. I'm seeing what looks to be many Micro Machines ships, some pewter ones, a bunch of resin ones...?

They run a long extension cord from Spacedock. [Wink]
Though I think the USS Mary Sue would be the logical name for such an uber-vessel, it's still far more practical than many of the abominations over at starshipschematiics.com
