OK this sorta fits here. I just saw a picture on theonering.net here of PJ and Naomi Watts. I can't believe how much weight Peter Jackson has lost! WOW! He looks like a different person. What was his secret?

Money baby- it makes all your dreams come true.
He does indeed look diffrent- I bet he goes up to people and rags on LOTR to see what people really think of his movies.

Anonimity rocks.

Huh. A really pretty friend of mine just said she thinks he looks BAD. She thinks he looked better with more weight (though not all of it).
I just think he needs to either trim the beard or lose it completely- the Castro look is unbecoming of a multimillionaire.

This thread in Gen., Topher's "Top Gun"-reference or your crystal shoe?

(speaking of Val Kilmer, I watched "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" yesterday on the movie festival, what a great flick, and Kilmer was good. Downey Jr was almost better, though.)

I agree with Jason's really pretty friend, he's actually lost a bit too much weight, so instead of being unhealthily plump he almost looks unhealthily thin. Losing the oversized Harry Potterish glasses is certainly a plus though.

Ok, so he's thin now. Shut up and tell me when he's going to film The Hobbit and tell me what he's doing to make sure the two Ian's are going to be in it.

He's decided to merging The Hobbit with his Halo project and make Lord of the Biiiiig Ring.

$50 says some article is named that once Halo starts production.

I call catchphrase copyright on you all!

You're bloughing! You and your damn snake oil.

I hope Halo won't be all-CGI, I'm getting tired of that trend. Especially CGI-enemies, there's no satisfaction in seeing them go down, none at all.

Well, they will probably go with the LOTR treatment- actors in great makeup for key characters and closeups and CGI for the giant group battles.

You're sooo right about the CGI baddies though- part of why Van Helsing sucked so hard was their video-game looking monsters.

Maybe he started smoking. That's a gauranteed way of losing weight. that and manual labour. But how much manual labour do directers do? lifting wine glasses and turning the pages on the script?

Mabye he's paying supermodels to have sex with him 24/7.
Man, that's what I'd be up with with a few million bucks in my pocket.

..that and hiring someone to steal the DS9 prop, then building scale starships to dock with it and making phaser sounds with my mouth.....
