Interesting! I had avoided watching it for a couple of days as I wasn't in a 'Heroes' mood - that has all changed now after watching it!

Just when you think there aren't anymore twists to this story - think again!

The web weaves tighter.

Anyone else watch it? What did you think. This show is just amazing!

So is Linderman trying to pull a Watchmen? Does he really think destroying NYC will be for the greater good?

Probably not. Despite what he says, he's still the bad guy. According to the graphic novels, he's rigging ballot machines so Nathan will win the election.

I enjoyed this episode, but not as much I expected to. The encounter between Sylar and Peter ended more or less how everyone had expected, only no one counted on bad writing to let Sylar get away. Why didn't Mohinder kill him when was knocked unconscious?

The other thing that bugged me about this episode was how Granny Petrelli seemed so gormless when she thought Peter was dead. She's supposed to know more than almost anyone else. She knew Peter, Nathan and Claire had powers, and she knew Claire and Peter had met, so should've realised Peter could be revived by figuring out what had killed him.

The only possibility I can think of, is that she was hoping to convince Nathan that Peter was dead, to avoid Peter being used to blow up NY. Maybe he'd be going off to France with Claire once Nathan had gone?

I don't think she knew specifically what Nathan's ability was - plus I imagine seeing the bloody corpse of one's son is enough to crack even an emotionally frigid old bat like her.

As for Linderman, I think Ozymandias is a good comparison as he WAS the villan in Watchmen. A disillusioned former Hero (based on what he and old Mrs Petrelli hinted at) taking it upon himself to right the greater wrongs with an act of evil.
The best villains after all, are the ones who truly believe they're doing the necessary, if not the right thing.

I still preferred "Company Man." But this one was good. I actually liked Angela's reaction--a loving mother (however psychotic) isn't going to be exactly rational when confronted with the sight of her dead son.

Also, I just adored the scenes with Bennet, Sprague and Parkman. They're easily my favorite little group. (Next up: Peter.)

So WHAT is Angela's ability?

Her husband - old man Patrelli was friends with Linderman... did he ALSO have an ability? Which is making me thing most of the 'older' characters may in someway be connected with this group. We know Sulu is connected to Bennet and Eric Roberts... I wonder if Josephine's Father - the guy Peter Patrelli was looking after also had an ability?

Does Bennet have an ability? Was he putting visual pictures into Parkman's head?

Sprague, Bennet and Parkman off to New York to destroy the tracker... hang on - why would Linderman want to destroy new york that would destroy the tracker - unless he himself is tracked by someone above him even?

Why even Track the mutants/specials?

Did "Papa Suresh" know the group of 'older characters' - like Angela Patrelli, Linderman and Sulu?

Sylar - his voice changed sometimes - was that him using Eden's power - power of suggestion?

Why didn't he use the hearing ability he obtained to track Peter? Shouldn't Peter now have all of Sylar's abilities too?

That's my question...is Peter now a "SuperSylar"?

Or does he need to conjur the people who he absorbed the powers from to use them?

One thing we've noticed - painting the future only works well if you have talent to start with - Peter only could doodle... Sylar - has rather a demented abstract painting form. ALTHOUGH Peter did finish off one of Mr. Isaac's paintings.

I don't know what Sylar's deep voice was about, but I don't think he could see how Eden's brain worked when it was splattered all over the window. Maybe he's a Goa'uld?

Couldn't figure out who you meant there.. her name was Simone Deveaux. There's almost certainly a connection between her Dad and the older Heroes, and some people suspect it has to do with Claude, the Invisible Man. Remember he hung out on Mr. Deveaux's balcony and he was known to have protected a hero. Maybe Mr. Deveaux was that hero. Also, Claire was handed over to Bennet by Sulu on that rooftop. Not to mention all the other goings on there. Maybe the tracker's there?

If Deveaux had a power it could have been connected to Peter's visions he got when he fell asleep near the man.

As for Papa Petrelli, in the first couple of episodes he's said to have died six months previously(six months being a significant point in time in the Heroes universe) and Granny Petrelli says he was suicidal in the same way that Peter was. Remember Peter being suicidal was a front to explain away his powers, so his dad probably also had powers. And he's bound to be alive still as well.

Maybe Papa Patrelli is the ultimate big bad?

Sorry I meant Simone - don't know why I called her Josephine.

The balcony:

Mr. Isaac painted him and Simone up there... and the picture of a devestated New York through that ornamental wall and Hiro and Ando end up there.

Who originally put the pigeons there too?

Oh yeah - I forgot about Eden's brain getting splattered. She was so cute.

Also I wonder what happened in the time when Linderman and his other 'heroes' did good in the world? Would have had to have been the 60's or the 70's.

AFAIK Sylar didn't get Eden's ability. Most other characters' distorted voices are for what the directors call 'coolness factor'.

Angela's power isn't established yet. $5 says she's clairvoyant.

Bennet doesn't have an ability, I think. As for Peter mimicking Sylar: I think so, he just has to actually be aware of it. Maybe he hasn't manifested the hearing yet because it's a passive skill...

I'm guessing that Linderman is aware, somehow, of Bennett's plan to take out the tracker, and knows they will succeed in some way, which is why he now needs Micah. As for why he would want New York destroyed when the tracker is there, he probably won't need it after the city's destroyed. He'll have gotten what he wants.

Mama Patrelli being linked in with Linderman in the good old days jumped out at me too.

I'm curious, does anyone have access to the episode where Hiro and Ando first travel to the future and find Isaac's headless corpse? Events seem to have played out just so with him dying in his apartment at Sylar's finger. I'm curious as to how the murder scene compares to what we just saw. In other words, was Isaac staked out with paint brushes? Of course, I guess Sylar could've taken the brushes out and used them to paint and moved the body.

I'm also interested in what happened to Isaac's painting of Sylar's eventual defeat. I'm thinking it got slipped in with what he sent along with the courier.

Isn't the cop already clairvoyant? Could there be "heroes" with the same powers?

$10 says she can talk to fish.

I wasn't sure if Eden killed herself or not - my friend was arguing vehemently that Sylar made her telekinetically pull the trigger. He was thinking maybe he doesn't have to cut their brains out to get their powers, he just does it because he's insane. I think he's full of nitrogenous fertilizer.
