I refuse to see the new animated Star Wars movie. Unless someone forces me to go and pays for me as well. And I will also have to get those neato semi-king size Reese's peanut-butter cup packages (they give only 3 in those!)

Otherwise, I could live a long and fruitful life without viewing that movie. Anyone agree?

Is it the actual actor's voices?

I think Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Daniels, James Earl Jones and Christopher Lee are all in it. You know, the one's who can act and have voice over experience. Hayden is no loss and the guy standing in for Oz can actually do a fairly good impersonation. It would have been nice to have Ewan McGregor, but on the other hand the guy they used for the 2D micro series did a good job and I think they're using him again here.

As for if I will see it. Yes, though not in the cinema. I'll wait for the DVD. Mostly because my home system has better sound than the Salisbury Odeon and I'll be buggered if I'm going all the way to Poole or Southampton just to see a bloody film. I am actually looking forward to this as I really enjoyed the micro series, mostly for the episodes where it's just clones running around being cool. [Wink]

I have to ask though shikaru, if you're so uninterested in the movie, why start a thread about it? A tad close to trolling, no?

Maybe his inner self desperately wants to see it, and just needs us to convince him...

Well, since this is the only thread that shows up in my default view in the Star Wars subforum...I think we can survive some trolling.

Eh, the Star Wars forum hasn't seen light for a while so I figured a new topic would be "invigorating" [Big Grin]

Isn't this movie really just the pilot episode for the cartoon series? If so, then why not just wait for it to come on TV.

[Big Grin] just including what you left out, supposedly. Either way, it's just the Lucas Films version of Punky Brewer (The parady album, not the show)...

Hasn't someone smacked you around about the needless profanity recently, PW?

As for the movie, yes I'm going to see it, and in the theater, too. I think my 8 year old son would never forgive me if I didn't! [Big Grin]

again, reference the cheap fornacative dollar... No needless. just needs that 'just right adjative to make it right'... fcku'r [Big Grin]

it' just... i mean, the movie is a escuse to justify the poor writting of Parts 2 & 3.

or to make the point more clear, it's like justifying TAS as cannon for ST... or even some of the poorest, shitty ST novels written in the past 20 years... as cannon.

....but if you're this high *hand at his hip*, i guess you really don'ty have the legs for being a purist... *snorts*

anyway, isn't this a SW bashing thread? [Razz]
