Found this at TrekToday. Apparently UPN wants to make 15-minute sitcoms to appeal to the short attention spans of teenage guys. I don't even know what to think about this!

I agree with the experts. The idea isn't to grab someone's attention, but to grab it and keep it long enough to ensure the audience watches commercials.
The basic concept sounds pretty pathetic.
