The hell? The guy has been arrested and detained and they don't report that AT ALL in US news? Damn, its worse than I thought down there.

Because, everyone over here would think that detaining the guy is stupid, and a mistake, and that anyone with half a brain could easily see that this was an accident. Thing is, our laws are made by people with a little bit more than one quarter of a brain. God forbid we bend the law for some poor guy who almost lost his life in our waters...it's not like he was carrying any bombs. Hell, he didn't even have his I.D. on him.
