OK, bigger than Frank, but would fit in spacedock. That probably means some sort of ship, but not nesecarily. We've also placed it somewhere during the last two seasons of TNG, the first three of DS9, or the first one of Voyager, give or take.

Well a probe is non-organic and spaceborne, but if I remember my TNG tech manual they don't tend to travel faster than light and are rarely used as a form of transport!

Why would it leave the last three movies? I asked if it appeared before "Hippocratic Oath" and the answer was a "yes." So that'd be Season 7 and Generations...
