Thanks for the quick response, Charles. You da' man.

Er ... I do mean that, literaly. You da' man. As opposed to the woman.

Please forgive me. Had mucho mucho to drink to celebrate the Raven's victory -- does it count as a victory if the other team doesn't show?

Crap -- I got an 8am class tommorow at Towson's Center for the Arts, only the most CONFUSING building to exist in the world. You're on the third floor and need to get to the second floor? No, that staircase going down bypasses the second floor altogether! Go up a level, make a right at the mural, a left at the amphitheater ticket booth and go down two flights and you'll be there!

ARGH!

Oh, BTW, for anyone curious enough to know, this is what I sent to that m***** f****** a******:

Sir,

Thank you so kindly for your spam posts to "Flare". Here at "Flare" we consider ourselves a "family" -- if so, you're certainly the evil horned cousin. Thank you so much for posting that ridiculous HTML. You know, that stuff is really mean. I'm here half drunk because the Baltimore Ravens kicked some ass tonight -- does it count as a victory if the opposing team doesn't even show up? -- and I'm celebrating you're being a big meaney!!!!

Must.

Go.

Bed.

All done.

Users with under 50 posts will have all HTML turned to mush, excluding <br>, <p>, <a>, and <img>, which are nessecary to perform basic UBB Code because of the way I'm performing the filtering.

For those of us who were consciousness-impaired (i.e., asleep) during what appears to have been quite a fiasco, would someone mind explaining exactly what happened?

As I understand it, that guy registered, then replied to a bunch of posts in General Discussion and Voyager with a bit of HTML in that immediately redirected anyone opening - or just replying to? - that thread, to his own page at MP3.com. Why, I don't know - apart from his being a terminal fuckwit who should kill himself immediately for the good of the species. People like that should never breed.

All you had to do was go to the thread where he posted his stupid one-line comments, and it automatically redirected you. You didn't even need to reply. At first I thought I was doing something wrong, but after going to all the threads where he posted, it was pretty obvious he was spamming. Look at the jerk's profile. It suspiciously had no information about him.

My guess is that this guy has a vestigal tail and a couple of extra digits. That's what happens with successive generations of inbreeding...

What's worse is that his replies were pure meaningless. He would write, "I didn't know that." "I see" and stuff like that. I mean, we don't really care if those are your first thoughts when you read the stuff. If you really have nothing to contribute, then don't. Of course, I don't really care if you do that once in a while. We all do that. But that's all iwantmetoyou, or whatever his name was, did.

Bart: Ohhh, I see... you HATE him, so you gave him to the church.
Groundskeeper Willy: Aye. I also 'ate the mess he left on me rug. [Bart stares.] Ya heard me!

Yeah, and his ISP actually seems to give a shit that he did it also. I'm working with them to track him down.

Yes well it shouldn't be hard to send out warnings with his adress on, to other facilities of interest?

It's almost entertaining to witness someone like that, totally intent on doing a foul deed, fully aware they are stretching laws, not even caring to hide their purpose. All that's left is plain ol' "clobbering time"! And they cannot win.

What I don't understand is, why didn't the "New Member" sign show up?

The only easy way to disable his profile was to clobber it intentionally using the cpanel...

Well, that just makes everything all right, doesn't it? What a fine, upstanding young man, that he should say he's sorry. And you wanted to club him with a baseball bat, JeffKardde. Who's the meany now, huh?

I can't wait to see who the first person will be to use Iwant2badork's reply as their status line. BTW, how many times do you have to post before you get to change the status line?

Don't worry. It's not that bad. Until then, you shall be labeled and rightfully so! Release the hounds towards the Junior Member. He's the one who puts that faggy squigglymark above the n's. Not to mention the one above the e's. AAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uh, I need to calm down. Just kidding there. No worries.

Though it will go without saying ten minutes into these preceedings, View Askew would like to state that this film is - from start to finish - a work of comedic fantasy, not to be taken seriously. To insist that any of what follows is insensitive or inflammatory is to miss our intentions and pass undue judgement, and passing judgement is reserved for God and God alone (this goes for you film critics too...) Just Kidding
So please, before you think about hurting someone over this trifle of a film, remember God has a sense of humor. Just look at the platypus. Thank you and enjoy the show.
P.S. We sincerely apologize to all platypus enthusiasts out there who are offended by that thoughtless comment about the platypus. We at View Askew respect the noble platypus and it is not our intention to slight these stupid creatures in any way. Thank you and enjoy the show.
