Welcome to the first beta release. [Smile]

Polling isn't here yet. That'll be added next.

Note that you're now forwarded to your post after you make a reply or edit. [Big Grin]

The preview function is now slower to respond, BUT it doesn't cut off any more.

I don't know. My connection is good, other websites seem all right. . . but right now the Forums seem slow as fuck. Maybe it's just my imagination, can't be sure.

If it doesn't speed up pretty soon, please let me know.

Okay, mine is just stopped at a bleedin' green light. Stupid driver. Where's a horn when you need one .... ?

O mighty Tallest...rememebr that temporal displacement bug I mentioned? It's back & badder than ever.

First off this little bugger appeared outside the text area (on the blue background:

Charset: ISO-8859-1 Content-Type: text/html
then, i get this message trying to post a message with some smileys:

It got better; however, that was after I switched my browser's settings from "update page every time" back to "automatic" - it wasn't working at stopping it displaying old versions of pages very well. . .

(as for how fast it is now, can't say as I'm on my parents' ADSL connection)

Captain, can you recall what the exact message was? If so, please try to post it again, then start removing the smilies until you find the culprit... The content-type bit is normal, and will go away a few betas from now. Thanks.

Shik: Can you go into detail as to the exact problem? Thanks.

Lee: Eh?

Posted by Vogon Poet (Member # 393) on :

*sigh* Well, you remember how when you use the Back button to go back to the thread listing, it'd display an older version of said listing? Well, setting my browser to update the page every time instead of automatically didn't always correct the problem, and it made using the browser in general far too small.

Posted by Shik (Member # 343) on :

I have the same problem as Lee, except that I don't find the browser to be "too small." (whatever that means)

Posted by Charles Capps (Member # 9) on :

Do you find it to be too large then?

No, as with everything else important, the size is perfectly adequate. I just get the temporal displacement all madlike.

Does the old file come back instantly, without delay? Or does the browser seem to talk to the server first?

I'm going to call this a bug with the browser for now.

Slow, dammit, slow. What, you never have a drink at Christmas? Oh, wait, you're Americans, you probably don't. . . 8)

Every time I read posts in the Enterprise forum, I get this massive, pounding, incapacitating headache. Is that a browser bug?

Found a little bastard! And to think I was in need of something to do at 2 am on Boxing Day. But, finally, hurrah, I have found a bug. Purpose, come to me!

*ahem* Smilies appear to enjoy eating any paragraph breaks that follow them. That is to say, if you stick a smilie at the end of a paragraph, the following paragraph gets yanked up flush behind. Edit posts as I might, I can't seem to make it fall in line.

Carniverous little buggers.

I just fixed that little buglet in the code. It'll be updated here shortly.
