While I was reading I thought and I thought and I thunked!...hey folks why not build it!

So I thought of this which is a broad proposal.

I invite only constructive criticism on the practical aspects of construction.

I realize many people will feel threatened by this proposal. Some will be jealous that they did not think of it themselves. Some will want to feed their id by ridiculing it and inflate their own ego.Other will piss in whichever direction the wind is blowing and display herd mentality.

Those who want to to ridicule can start a separate thread and your can put your ridicule there.I promise I will read it in due course so that your ego may satisfied.

FROM THE MANY REALLY ,BUT JADED ,INTELLIGENT PEOPLE HERE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM IS INVITED.

Here is the idea:-

ALL TREKKERS UNITE TO BUILD IT. A REAL ENTERPRISE.

All Trekkers Unite To Build A Real Starship Enterprise.

This is to put forward the proposal for the construction of a real Starship Enterprise.

Starship construction project.

The objective is to gather human resources together so that a real world Starship Enterprise could be constructed.

Here is the formal proposal:-

ALL TREKKERS UNITE TO BUILD IT:-
A REAL ENTERPRISE.

I have a great idea. Why dont all we trekkers unite together
and build a real STARSHIP ENTERPRISE on the ground.

Building it on the ground it will cost less then in space.
the cost will about a couple of billion dollars at least and of course we will not be able to launch it into space until someone develops anti-gravity or a new propulsion system.

(whats happened to that gravity cancellation technique that used a spinning superconducting disk.it was found that any object weighed less above it).

The best version to build would be ST:TMP version or ST:GENERATION ENTERPRISE-B version. It would be fully functional in every respect within the limits of current technology and would be self supporting by turning it into a very famous tourist attraction to rival that of the pyramids with people actually staying inside it like a hotel.

Just think what it would look like properly lit at night.
It would be an amazing sight and people would come from all over the world to visit it and stay in and pay for it.

Now some of you will say its too difficult to build but if sea going ships like the dream princess and other cruise liners can be build for around $600 million then it should not be difficult to build a fully functional STARSHIP ENTERPRISE for a couple of billion pounds.

SO LETS GET TOGETHER AND TURN
FANTASY INTO REALITY.

Just think what an inspiration for the star trek ideals and vision such a construction would represent.

Now you will say where are we going to get the money to build such a expensive ship.Well there are plenty of millionaires and billionaires who could be persuaded to invest in such a business venture and some of them may even be star trek fans.

We should get some seed money together first by setting up a web site and approaching various well connected business people to contribute and invest in the idea.

It should be sold as a business venture idea and Paramount would be obligated to help as well to bring it in to fruition as Gene Roddenburys original contract had a clause that Paramount would help if anyone came to them to bring the ideas into reality.

So lets get to work on the technical plans for the building of the STARSHIP ENTERPRISE and the business plans for bringing it into reality.

This is serious idea and i invite discussion and ACTION from all people who would like to help build a real STARSHIP ENTERPRISE and make the dream into reality.

I'm sure Herman Cain loves him.

Should build an NX-class. It would be easier, and if you turn it upside down you've also got an Akira-class. Two for the price of one, and the fans would love it...everyone loved the Akiraprise!!!!! [Wink]

I did a web check on the current activities of Esecallum, for the past few years he's been in the business of jury-rigging garden lighting equipment to secrete colloidial silver when held over a water source, eating the silver and gaining "alternative medicine" superpowers! You know, instead of paying outrageous sums for equally inert "store brand" bullshit silver.
Esecallum recommends very cold tap water as a source, with another poster cautioning that anything other than distilled water as colloidal silver base will give you Argyria.

So if you ever want to find esecallum IRL, just check all argyrian smurfs in the US, focusing on the ones between 30-50 years old, of impressive girth and with a history of concealed carry.

However, it's more likely he doesn't personally partake, he just sells the smurf-silver paste on the internet to unsuspecting rubes looking for a magic fix.

Throwing billions at a useless item? That's a Democrat stimulus package, not a target of Cain-love. Now, on the other hand, if it was made of pizza . . .

This is not a stimulus package, this a job-creating project. We'll just give some Corporate Execs the money, and just wait for them to invest in the construction of a starship. Why we shouldn't even tell what the money will be for, they will obviously come to the logical conclusion its for the construction of a space-faring vehicle. And let's not inundate them with regulations about structural integrity and proper handling of radioactive materials. I mean, once you travel past the speed of light, who cares anyway?

Hey now you might be taking the piss out of her, but if that pic of her in her profile is really her...I'd emigrate to the US and vote for her! [Big Grin] [Big Grin] She's cute and sexy - we need more like her. [Big Grin]

no

nx class ? it is not iconic.it is obscure.

hated the biscuit bite at the front.

akiraprise....sounds japanese...do you think americans will go and see something japanese sounding?

while easy to build they are not iconic.

in any case it is not iconic.

nebula class looks good but is not iconic.

people worship icons.

You're clearly not at all familiar with sarcasm. Don't worry...there's pills you can take for that.

hello everyone.i am back.i am surprised at how slow this board is.hardly anything has changed.same old threads.

anyone i will posting amazing new ideas shortly and i want you all to try to assuage them and try not to be too jealous.they are original.so try to be constructive.if you are good i may even post a picture of myself.

Naked?

Posted by Zipacna (Member # 1881) on :

Why would we be jealous? We're all too busy flying around in our starships. Who knew warp engines could be powered by vigorous masturbation...

This should be fairly interesting.
