These are ok, but could be a lot better. The (one and only) 4' studio model is going to be there (at the Museum of Flight in Seattle) until May 15; photos are allowed.

There's some more photos of the DS9 and Defiant miniatures at Starship Modeler. Some of the Defiant pictures are superb. Worth a look.
It's strange that there, like the DS9 Companion, the Defiant is mentioned as being only 3 foot long, yet other sources claim it's 4 foot.

The 170m Defiant is 4 feet long. The 120 is 3 feet.

The model is 48" (4 feet) long according to Paramount's loan form (I received the information from John Zukowsky, curator of the Chicago exhibition). The size is confirmed in one section of the DS9 Companion. Zukowsky had estimated it at 2.5-3' before finding out the written size for me. The photographer here seems to have independently come at the same estimate, and then there is that one DS9 companion quote about the model being 2.5' long. Daniel Kramer of VisionArt also remembers it at about 3' in size.
Mike Okuda doubts that more than one model exists, since he would've been asked to do the markings.
If for some reason a VFX supervisor entered a 4' size into the motion-control computer while the model really was 2.5' long, then the camera would've been moved too far back and the model would appear smaller than intended (560'). Which is (2.5/4)*560' or 350' (106m).
