The SS Palomino:

Almost a decade ago, I had on my old hard drive a beautiful rendering someone had made of a starship. In this day and age, we're spoiled . . . such high-quality renders are commonplace.

Not only was the quality divine, but the ship it showed was extraordinary. It looked like a TNG-era hotrod, almost. It was small, one deck vessel, shaped something like a horseshoe. The curve of the horseshoe was the back of the ship, and at the forward ends were the warp engines. The tips were large, glowing Bussard collectors.

In the middle of the curve, extending forward, was the habitable section of the ship. At the front of this extension was a clear hemisphere, and within sat what was obviously the pilot's station.

Alas, my copy of this image was lost ages ago, but as time has passed, I've been wanting to see it again. No offense to anyone here, but it remains the most amazing non-canon vessel I've ever seen.

Does anyone else remember this old pic? Or (gasp!), does anyone have it?

Just a shot in the dark.

I remember seeing it too recently.I think I saved in on my hard drive. I'll try to see if I can find it. Pray for me, I only have 3471 filles to root through. [Frown]

Can't see shit in that image, it's so dark.

Also, I always thought you meant the ship from "The Black Hole".

Congrats on finding what was thought lost and now found and able to be saved for the future [Smile]
