...Whoa.

Gonna take a while to digest this one. Everything of course turns out okay, more or less, I think. But this two-parter gives a Voyager-esque excuse for explaining away all the inconsistencies between the series, its early seasons, and the movie as all various different timelines.

I'll get more into it later, but it seems that the ONLY lasting difference made is that there have now always been fish in Jack's pond. This is illustrated by ending the finale with the EXACT same scene from the end of "Threads", except with a fish and two lines of dialogue added in.

What can I say - these guys do things well. [Smile]

OK, I watched it last night. Although the Moebius two parter was a fun romp - it wasn't the best of Stargate.

It was a little unpolished around the edges.

How exactly are you saying it explains away inconsistancies from earlier seasons? WHAT inconsistancies!?!

Actually ONE of my FAVOURITE things from this episode was the SCORE!! The reused a LOT of themes from the Stargate movie - light when the gate was first opened etc.

Why didn't they fish the DHD out from Antarctica too (in the alternate timeline).

I also thought it was fun (though a little jarring - and most definately played for laughs) Jack and Sam "getting it on".

Oh in Part One, did you think Ra's "helpers" were there just to stop him from toppling over with that big mask on? [Smile]

It's possible they didn't know what it was. Given that they had the ship, there were more important things to put on the tape than ANOTHER way to dial the gate.
