Well, it looks like the Master can now locate etheric beams at a distance of up to 20,000 light-years. [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Also, the question about whether Time Lords can switch gender when regenerating has been answered.

People keep saying that. Was I the only one who watched "The Doctor's Wife" where they answered that question three years ago?

No, I just think for a lot of people there's a big difference between hearing about it happening to someone we've never met (the Corsair), and having seen it happen to a recurring character (the Master).

I wonder if they'll explain what happened to the Master between "The End of Time" and "Deep Breath". I think the implication from "The End of Time" was that he was sucked into the Time War while grappling with Rassilon, but as the Master was never time locked, he really shouldn't have been. Then again, we know the time lock isn't foolproof, as both Dalek Caan and the Moment have circumvented it. Maybe he "bounced" off the time lock and wound up somewhere else in time and space? Maybe he was sucked into the Time War but escaped through one of the cracks in the universe?

Or maybe I'm really overthinking things as the Master has a habit of escaping from certain death with absolutely no explanation whatsoever?

This assumes, of course, that this is as simple as The Master from after the events we've already seen and not earlier in his time stream. This is a Moffat episode, after all, and he does seem to love timey-wimeyness. [Razz]

Well if I recall previous episodes, the Master went into hiding after the Time War disguised as a human refugee trying to survive the end of the universe. Then he regenerated into Saxon, died, and came back as Saxon only to die again. Not a lot of wiggle room, plus you'd think he'd mentioned encountering later incarnations of the Doctor to the Tenth Doctor. I find it interesting Missy referred to herself as the Doctor's girlfriend,we're entering Freudian territory with that statement.
