So I'm watching Empire Strikes Back, and I see Wedge get blown away during that battle on Hoth. But isn't Wedge in "Return of the Jedi" where he helps blow away the core?

He gets blown away? I didn't ever notice...

Yes, he did fire the first volley at the core, but, of course, the Falcon finished the job.

He took out the support beam. Lord knows why he couldn't just shoot the core. Guess Lando's a glory-hog.

I don't recall Wedge getting blown away. And even if he got shot, so did Luke, and he survived. And at least Wedge managed to do that cool harpoon trick. Stupid Luke got shot down before he could.

The guy in the speeder with Luke was named Dak or something, I think. Wedge lives through Jedi.

Did you notice that one of the other candidates for the Senate leader in TPM was from Alderaan with surname of Antilles.

No, Wedge isn't blown away. Zev is however, and with the helmet on they sort of look similar.

Oh, btw, Zev was Luke's wingman(Rogue 2). I didn't notice Pedro's post though. So if you're talking about the gunner then forget that last post.

In a few drafts of ANH, Captain Antilles of the Tantive IV had a first name of Bail. Perhaps the guy from TPM is the same person?

Doubtful, as Captain Antilles of the Tantive IV was not that old.

Probably a son or grandson of the Bail Antilles who was nominated as Supreme Chancellor. That or Lucas goofed and just used the name b/c he thought it sounded good. I wouldn't think he would be so careless though. I'm sure there is some relation. Perhaps we'll find out in a future episode.
