The iPod Nano
The photo shows my 2G 20GB iPod, my 1G 4GB iPod mini, and the 4GB iPod Nano.

And I thought the Motorola ROKR was the appetizer for the iPod video... boy was I wrong. So I got the 4 GB Nano and realized it's freaking small. I am now going to have to wait until I get the silicon since it's getting scratched up like no other. I do admit I thought that I was getting a iPod video but I guess it's going to be down the road.

"I thought that I was getting a iPod video..."

When you walked into the store, were you even aware that those, y'know, don't officially exist yet, or did you just visit it to get a new boy toy?

He surely means he was hoping for that from the last Apple announcement...

No, I really thought they were coming out with the iPod Video. I guess not anytime soon, although the Nano is nice... lighter than the Pink Mini yet has teh same storage space.

Easier to break with even less battery life.

I'll stick with my clunky (but great sounding) Panasonic CD/Stereo/MP3 player for now.

Besides, it's only $35.00

I bought a iPod Mini in the airport a few weeks ago and am busy working what Mini spesific accessories I will ever need before they get discontinued as well.
Actually, given the choice between the Mini and Nano, I prefer the Mini. I've got 6gb for the proce of the 4gb Nano, the silver metal case matches my dell laptop and external disk, and the headphones come out of the top of the device.

But pricey.

$250 is a lot of sci-fi/booze/porn/ammo/drugs.

Okay, not a lot of drugs, but you get the idea.

It is probably just as likely to get you mugged as $250 in drugs though....

Does $250 even buy you a shotgun and a rocking chair in Mississippi, anymore?

I thought the nano was neat before I read the Ars Technica article. I'm disproportionately impressed. Congratulations on your recent acquisition, Michael.

$250 would only buy you two seasons worth of Star Trek DVDs, too... [Wink]
