For some reason, when I go to try to remove a program using the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Control Panel, the "Remove" button is no longer visible in any of the programs installed, meaning I cannot uninstall a program unless it has its own uninstall program.

This happened after I uninstalled a bunch of crap from Yahoo that was downloaded into my computer.

Suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Spyware Doctor would be my recommendation. It's hands-down the best program for viruses/spyware on the market. I have AVG, Norton and Ad-ware and to them my PC was clean - I downloaded SD and it found 400 pieces of spyware of varying degrees.

Well AVG also has a Spyware remover which is more effective at removing spyware than AVG anti virus.

I've had that happen once or twice. So I went and deleted the program the hard way. Find the folder that the program resides in, delete it, then search the registry for any values pertaining to the program and delete them as well. After that, the program listed in the Add/Remove list told me that the program was not found and if I'd like to remove it from the list.

I don't know how much help that would be to you. I find it a little difficult giving tech support suggestions over the internet without actually being there to see what's going on for myself.
