Yes, it's that time of year again.
A time for goodwill toward our fellow Flarites and Peace on Earth.

Well, that second part is pretty much a wash but we can still watch Old Star Trek DVD's with friends and family- the true spirit of the holidays are reflected in the glow of every space battle and warp-core breach.

Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Kwazy Kwanza, Merry X-Mas, Festivus, Winter Solstice, etc.

ANd for our Pastafarian friends...

So, what y'all going to be doing this year? I'll be indoors with a drink and the final raymond Chandler Phillip Marlowe novel with the air conditioner crankin (it's gong to be lower 80's here).

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for
an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress,
non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice
holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious
persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect
for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their
choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all . . .

and a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically
uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar
year 2009, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other
cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great,
(not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or
is the only "AMERICA" in the western hemisphere), and without regard to the
race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of
computer platform, choice of DTH/DBS satellite system, or sexual
orientation of the wishee.

(By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms.
This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely
transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no
promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for
her/himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is
revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted
to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings
for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday
greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement
of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.)

Merry Christmas everyone! Now that gifts are opened, it's time to clean the house before the family arrives for Dinner.

It's nice to see that shikaru is alive and well. [Big Grin]

I recieved a copy of Call of Duty World at War, for both Wii, and PS2 ( my family got the Wii for Christmas, but I can't stand the controls...too much motion.), and a new bathrobe, among other neat-o things. The bathrobe is amazingly comfortable.

My roomate bought me all 20 parts to Marvel's Anihiliation cosmic storyline (which sees a hell of a lot of Marvel characters get brutally killed).

My pal dave bought me dinner at Outback (Prime Rib moocow and a highball).

My Grandma just sent me $100 with the stipulation that I have to buy something frivolus- no bills or clothes- jsut something I'd like.
Gotta love your grandma.
Maybe I'll buy a model or three.

My mom sent me a gift card from Dillards department store- what they sell there I have no idea.

Best of all- I spent the holiday reading comics. eating good food and chilling out- no family visits, no stress, no leg pain (as I get my perc scrip filled the day before).

I got a new set of Bridgestone Battlax BT-016's for my baby, and a B&D jumpstarter.

And today I've got the house to myself, and I'm taking the time to enjoy the situation. I got coffee to the left, grass to the right, and a computer screen in front of me. Im set.

Snay - Yeah, I came charging out with it to 'break it in' only to find the beer my friend's brother was holding was a twist-off [Frown]

And I got a Drinking Bird! 'Twas a very geeky Christmas indeed.

Haha thanks Sean. Basic was tough, but I'm glad that's over with. Probably won't be able to get on as much thanks to the military.

I got a laptop and a knife set. Yesssss.
