I'm not saying they can't have the same rights, just that this particular robot is so pugfugly it's almost painful to look at.

It still looks a lot more realistic than anything in Anime... imagine if they went that route- the eyes would be four time that size and the neck half as thick....and the fingers would taper into points with no nails.
