440BX motherboard
333mhz PII
6 speed CD Rom (waiting for DVD...)
MAtrox Millenium G200
Soundblaster AWE64 Value
15in moniter
Labtex speakers.
250mb Zip

Not bad considering I bought nearly all of it myself.

Oh, and my 33.6 modem connects at 31.6. This can't be a coincidence.

56K. But Windows says it's a 33.6. It's faster than my old 33.6 though. . .

Right now I'm on a LAN, so I can't complain. But I lose that in a week when I move back home after exams. The family computer has a 33 modem, but if I choose to hook up my own computer, I will be stuck with my 14.4 modem.

*hears gasps around the forum*

That's right, a 14.4 modem, on a Pentium 75 no less. When I got the LAN two years ago, I basically forgot about the modem (which was old then anyway). So don't you folks worry, no matter how old or slow your system is, it's probably faster than mine

P.S. CIH? What's this?

I have a 56.6 that connects in between 44k and 48k. I sometimes connect at 32k or 31.2k and then my browser won't even work.

I'm on a 56.6 that connects at the FCC limit of 53.3... But right now I'm doing a week's internship as part of school requirements, and the place I'm interning at has a T1, or better... *grin*

CIH = That virus that was supposed to strike today, and on every other 26th of any month.
