It's 6:47am at the time I'm starting to write this, and some cunt's car alarm has been going off since about 8pm last night. I have only slept roughly 5 hours, and I have to attend college classes at 1:00 pm. Why are there still car alarms in the world? It has been my experience that 100% of the time (and yes I do defend that figure) car owners never respond to alarms of their car. Whoever the asshole is who has put the money and effort to install what must be the world's most sensitive car alarm which activates whenever a molecule of oxygen touches it, doesn't seem to notice that it has been going off since FUCKING 8PM LAST NIGHT!!! This leads me to believe that this fuckwad has probably parked his car some distance from his residence, again another reason to question why there are car alarms in the world if owners never seem to be within earshot of them. So I propose that we ban all noisy car alarms, and don't give me any bullshit about this violating any constitutional right of people to do what they want with their property or this being socialism, cause right now my right to FUCKING SLEEP is being violated. I don't know for sure, but I've heard that things like Lowjack and OnStar have much more quieter means of letting you know your car is being stolen or broken into, so for all you drivers out their don't be a motherfucker and install an alarm into your car you won't respond too. If not I'll have to say your a terrorist, and that you hate America, babies, and Jesus and some shadowy government organization will drag you off to Guantanamo Bay where you'll be tortured and eventually killed, and the official report will be that you committed suicide during juice and cookies time.

I have to agree that noisy car alarms are the worst when the owner doesn't turn them off after a minute or two. I don't know what the law is where you live but you could probably call the cops and have them make the guy turn it off. I'm sure letting the thing go for half the night violates some kind of anti-noise or disturbance law.

And yes Lo-jack is a much quieter, and more effective way to let you know if something's happening to your car. It even let's the police track it if it does get stolen.

When I bought my new bike it came with an alarm, didn't take long before I unplugged it though. Too many times running outside in my undies with a butcher knife only to find a damn bird on it.

Duh. Just toss a brick through the cunt's windshield- that way he'll pay more attention when his car alarm is blaring away all night.

You'd be doing everyone a favor, really, and it would provide a measure of personal satisfaction that would more than make up for your sleepless night.

Consider yourself a deputized Agent of Karma: balancing the universal scales of right and wrong with violence and vandalism....in the name of Justice!

Options:

1. Leave a nasty note.

2. Call the police for the clear violation of noise ordinances in your area.

3. Become a criminal by damaging the vehicle.

4. Become a socialist fascist by trying to get special government laws against them. (Sorry, I had to throw that in since you mentioned it.)

The situation is probably handled best by #1, escalating to #2, though #3 is the most emotionally satisfying.

Frankly, after the first hour, I can't imagine why you didn't do something. It takes me all of about six minutes for a car alarm to drive me batshit insane.

Oh I did call the proper authorities twice, but in NYC, the police have up to eight hours to respond to non-emergency calls. I didn't even see them pass by my residence once. However, I've recently heard that the alarm might have originated from a car parked near a church, perhaps even from the church itself. Still that must have been one hell of an alarm, since the church is located on one side of a large expressway, my home situated on the other side.

Bloody hell, on both the slow response times and the alarm.

Cops have better things to do than piss around over car alarms- there are kids that ride bikes by parked cars and just thump the hoods with newspapers to get the alarms to go off.

Playing Devil's Advocate here- it's quite possible that the owner of the vehicle knew noting of the alarm going off and the vehicle may have actually been broken into -explaining why the alarm never stopped.
