Well...... I keep thinking that all those people on Jerry Springer are actors. He used to deal with issues such as racism, surprise marriages, and family issues. None of this crap that they spill on TV now.

Er, I think that was the joke. About the Trekkies and the Trekkers.

Although you could make the point thats it no sillier than white/black or religious divides. Its just dividing what is essentially the same thing up into groups of people for no good reason. We are all humans. We all like Trek. There is no more.

I wouldn't mind Trekkies and their costumes if only the bloody things actually FITTED THEM.

(If somebody gave me a perfectly tailored, authentic FC Starfleet uniform (4 pips of course), I'd most certainly treasure it.)

I'm sure that if you wore such a uniform here you'd be beaten to death because you're a geek. But I don't want a uniform anyway, I'm not a big trek fan.
