Discovery Season 3

So yeah, seems like the Federation is kaput in the 32nd Century. This may or may not be recent, though. I don't think the 31st Century Daniels ever identified himself as Starfleet/Federation.

Wow, 32nd Century weapons look dumb. Mega Man buster arms and... the Matrix of Leadership? Ugh.

Not sure who the office guy is, but his outfit looks similar (but not identical) to 29th Century Starfleet (i.e. Braxton's outfit).

I see at least one Cardassian and one Lurian (Morn's species).

Picard Season 1

Data still does not look good.

Nifty Galaxy-class hologram.

In addition to seeing Riker and Troi, I also spotted Hugh, who is now mostly de-Borgified like Seven.

Very nifty TOS Romulan BoP, although I think it's been slightly altered such that its lights are green.

Yeah, it looks like Disco is going to do the Andromeda premise. Considering how terrible Andromeda turned out after only a season and a half, saying Disco can only do better is pretty easy.

It's definitely ambiguous based on what Daniels said; was he avoiding mention of the Federation because he didn't want to create any temporal paradoxes, or because he wasn't working for the Federation? The woman in the Jefferies tube didn't seem to be wearing a Starfleet uniform, but it definitely looked military.

The story for Picard looks intriguing, but I'm worried that once again, the fools at Starfleet Command are doing apparently corrupt things to make Picard look good. I liked Insurrection a lot more than most people, it seems, but I hope the actual mystery/conflict with Seven, Hugh, and the Borg turns out to be worth using the same old conflict starting point.

Ugh, I'm so tired of "collapse of/rebuilding the Federation" things.

"Data still does not look good."

Data looks even worse. I mean, I know Brent Spiner is older, and there's only so much they can do about that, but how did they do such a terrible job on his wig and contacts?

By the way, does anyone know who the guy is that asks Picard "You really want to go back out into the cold?" I'm sure I recognize the actor, but I can't place him.

Yeah, I ended up reading that somewhere after posting that. Turns out, I've seen almost nothing that he's been in, so all I can figure is that I recognized him because he was in an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine earlier this year.
