Well, in the new series I'm writing, Star Trek: Sovereign, which features the adventures of the USS Sovereign, I'm using the following quote:

-- David Glasgow Farragut

Brandon "Enterprise" Grasmick
Commanding Officer, USS Sovereign (NX-74222)

"Captain, the Sona crew are willing to negotiate a cease fire. It may have something to do with the fact that we have 3 minutes of air left."
-- Worf

Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges
-- In time of war the law falls silent.

Someone mentioned this in another thread, I think. It was the MSN quote of the day today.

"All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages."
William Shakespeare

Well, since Warped1701 used Ambrose Bierce's definition of prayer, I'll use his definition of faith: "Belief without evidence in what is told by one who speaks without knowledge or things without parallel."

And how about this one for any Miranda used in battle: "Abandon all hope, ye who enter." -Dante Allighieri :-)
