I've recently been making some baby steps into the world of video and animation, and I'm working on this animation to simulate a star system with a few planets. (I'm learning Final Cut Studio right now, starting with the "coolest" of the apps, Motion.) It's amazing what you can do these days with so little effort...

I'm thinking this might make some "You're the Admiral" scenarios a little more interesting! [Big Grin]

Really, really big. But pretty! My old Cube just isn't up to it though.

Sigh, I need a new Mac.

Yeah I should get back to that, shouldn't I? The question is, do i pick up with the last one, or start all over again>? Also, I can't scan maps anymore. Annoying.

Yeah, I forgot how big I made it... 'cause I was working at 50% size and so wasn't thinking about the published version.

Shik, you gotta at least finish up Sobchak Sector. You're not gonna leave General Plis'Qen hanging, are you? [Wink]

As for scanning... well, do you have a digital camera? Not the most ideal means of transfer, but it'd be enough to get the drawing into digital form.

I have nothing. I used to have a flatbed scanner before The Klink, but it was left in my storage unit, which got cleaned out by them. Lost a lot of porn, too.

Well, I'll review my notes & see what to do. I'm jobless & brokeass, so it's not like I have anything pressing to do.

I've heard a bit about these scenarios. Where can I find some of the older ones? ( I'm assuming the first one would be best to start with)

Just search for "you're the admiral" they're not in series; that is, you can do one & not others, but if you do one, even if you join late, you have to do all the previous questions. Like, if it's on Question 5, you can't just jump in without having done Q1 through 4...but you can jump in any time to get up to date.

If you ever *do* manage to get money (or, I dunno, wait till your birthday or something and beg friends [Razz] ) I'd recommend a graphics tablet instead of a scanner. I got one for Christmas and it's much easier and more enjoyable than scanning in something on paper. You also don't have to worry about scanning in the paper's texture, and you can draw directly onto a transparent layer in Gimp or whatever program you like. Only problem is the expense.

Yeah, I've thought of a Wacom for a while...but I'm not much of an artist. Whatever.
