It just hit me that the Ferengi, AS WELL AS the cardies, use the shape of their symbols to design their ships. If not the D'Kora then at least the shuttle.

Honestly, the fact Files tried to explain the shape of both the Cardassian logo and Galor class ship. "Galor" is the name of a "shadow warrior". I don't know if this reference is mentioned anywhere else, usually the Fact Files only reproduce what has already been printed.
