I've been working on this a while - on and off, that is - and it's still not done. . . here, however, is my initial diagram of the Isomagnetic Disintegrator, soon to be featured on my Federation Personal Weapons site:

Now, I have a request: I need images! Especially from TOS, the Movie era, and TNG. . . plus a few pics of DS9 and Voyager that don't involve phaser rifles. If you can provide any, dredit will be given. . . 8)
