First Fan drawing in a long time with a lot of potential. I don't know if you were trying to incorporate the emblem or not, but what ever the case it is a very good preliminary drawing

Who said anything about if being a Battleship, Frank?

That first character stands for the classification of the ship. All Magellan acoutships have an NCC-R### registry, R begin for Research. This way, there can be both a NCC-R902 and NCC-F902. Saves numbers so they don't sky rocket up to 6 digit numbers in 75 years.
