Author Topic: $$ SGA "Search and Rescue" $$ Mark Nguyen Just a Curbside Prophet, With My Hand In My Pocket, and I'm Waiting For My Rocket to Come Member # 469 posted                       Sorry, AR = Atlantis Recon. This has yet to show up on the show (and probably never will) but the original writers bible for Atlantis said that the exploration teams deployed from the city would be called Atlantis Recon, and that Sheppard's team would eventually be designated AR-1. My li'l circle of fans unofficially call Sergeant Bates' team AR-2, at least through the first season (as there seemed to be no other main teams, really).
