Yay. More Lucas fun.

Oooh - Han shoots Greedo first, but not before Greedo has given Chewie head? Nasty, George, nasty!

Why not just reshoot the entire fucking Trilogy? MacCaulay Culkin as Luke, he's about the right age, Hilary Duff as Leia, Christ-only-knows-who as Han. . . It's because of this the Prequel Trilogy sucks so much, Lucas knows he can come back and fix it all later.

Luckily, I've got the original trilogy on laserdisc and the special edition on widescreen VHS. I'll still get these DVD's, but I've got the non-spoiled version still.

Picard: Mr. Crusher, what's our maximum speed this week?
Wesley: [checking manual] Uh, 9.4, sir.
Picard: Very good. Take us to Warp 9.8 then.
Wesley: Aye, sir. Warp 9.2 it is.

I think the positive changes will outweigh the questionable ones, but I think the decision to make the Stormtroopers confirmed clones, although there's a certain logic to it, feels bad.
We obviously saw the clones practicing unarmed combat in the pens at Camino, so now the Old-Trilogy troopers have no excuse for sucking in combat, they should be elite...

I like the saberfixing, that frame when Obi-Wan's saber disappears almost entirely on the Death Star has always bugged me. And Luke's unproportional one in ROTJ.

Too bad they didn't fix crappy CGI-Jabba at Mos Eisley in the ANH-SE.

I'd say cause it is blue/greenscreen work. They weren't really hovering above a desert on some sort of hover-barge. A helicopter would have taken the footage and they composited it together at a later stage.

No No No NO No NO NO NO NO NONONNONONONONONO!

Hayden Chritensen at the end of ROTJ (anyone click the link for the rip!?!) is WRONG. PLAIN WRONG. It has each of them in the form when they died... Annakin might have looked like that when he 'turned' but he 'turned back' at the end of ROTJ that is why we see his older form as a Jedi Spirit - like the older Obi Wan and older Yoda. This just doesn't sit right with me. PLUS Christensen doesn't really look like he's interacting with the others and has that same blank look he had for pretty much all of Attack of the Clones! NO! Bring back old Annakin!

Gawd just let us have the original versions on DVD!

Oh and they didn't change the song back to the Yub Yub song - which REALLY disappointed me in '97.

I love the Yub Yub song. Can you get it anywhere on the net? [Smile]

This I like. Much. The other confirmed changes I can live with (barely), since they're just cosmetic.

Christiansen one-upping Sebastian Shaw, however, is enough to make me choke on my own vomit.
