What I'm interested in is how well SW:TPM is doing, and is it going to break the all-time record boasted by Titanic for movie sales........ Anyone have an idea?

As of last weekend, The Phantom Menace has made $408,597,032 according to the IMDb. It would have to make almost 200 million more dollars to match Titanic's final box office gross of $600,743,440.

That's in the United States. If we take the entire world, TPM moves up to $593,100,000. Titanic made a whopping $1,835,300,000.

U.S.: $460,935,655

Worldwide: $780,000,000

These figures aren't adjusted for inflation.

Well adjusted for inflation the highest grossing movie ever is still "Gone with the Wind" Hell Adjusted for inflation the Star Wars (episode 4 of course) is still a higher selling movie than Titanic.
