I think I fixed the back button this time.

Again, please let me know about any issues present...

Hmm. So now, when I've posted, and use my back button to go back to the thread listing, it automatically updates to show the thread I've just posted to as the "newest" one. And there's a definite delay going back to the thread listing even when I don't post. . . Is this what people wanted? Sheesh. 8)

I, uh, actually find that, uh, it is still transporting me back to sometime in the past. Sometime? Should that be just one word? I don't think so. I'm not sure, but I don't think so.

New comedy, The Crazy and Confusing World of Sol System, coming this fall! Starring Jeremy Piven as Simon "Sol System" Sizer. 8)

I've the same problem, Sol. Just yesterday, JeffR's "PC" post in the OL had only four replies ... in reality, it should've had 14.

Okay... all of you.

IE users, Tools (or edit) -> Options.

General Tab, Temporary Internet Files box. Click Settings

In the resulting box be 200% sure that "Every visit to the page" is selected under "Check for newer versions for stored pages"

Automatic is evil.

Netscape users:

Edit -> Preferences, Advanced -> Cache, ensure "Every time" is selected under "Document in cache is compared to document on network".

(Works for both 4 and 6)...

Thank you, Charles.

Yes.

Uh...but it, uh, still does it.

I don't really mind though.

Update:

But it doesn't to it everywhere, now. Some forums keep themselves updated just fine. So, um, that's a plus. An improvement. You are still my patron saint, Charles.

I'm still seeing two months' worth of threads in each Forum...

Does it matter if you manually force it?

Anyway... another update.

You mean, if I go to a Forum, change it to "last day", and hit the "Go" button? Of course it changes in that case. The problem is that it doesn't do it automatically, even though my preference is set for it.

Go into your profile, nuke your cookies, log in - is it set then?

And JeffK, would you mind trimming your sig down? I've already asked you in private and you haven't responded. No action in 24 hours -> I alter it myself. *twitch*

That's what I did before the first time I brought it up. It didn't work then, but I'll go ahead and try it again...

Done, and problem still unsolved.

I've done all that too, and it still says "show all topics from the past 60 days." I've deleted my cookies, cleared out my temporary internet files, and logged back in. Still set to 60 days. I've gone into each forum and manually set it to the past 5 days. When I visit the forums again, it reverts back to 60 days. And my profile still have 5 days selected.

Ditto Here

10 Days selected.

Shows 60 Days.

Whatever it was, Charles seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks!

Perhaps the problem lies not in the forum, but in ourselves.
