A lot of your updates seem to be stuff that is behind the scenes. Stuff that is inaccessible to ordinary users like myself. How do I know you're really tweaking the Flare's hamster-wheel-computing-drive and not just throwing up a fake-out every few days?

*sotto voce* Psst! CC! He's on to you!

Scroll to the very bottom of the screen - look at the version number of the software.

I'm waiting for an update that involves the orange things.
Posted by Tahna Los (Member # 33) on :
So? It's just a number. Even I could do that.

Orange things?
Posted by Malnurtured Snay (Member # 411) on :
Yes. Things which are orange. As opposed to purple things. Or green things.
Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :
Or orange things that aren't really orange, but think they are.

I'm waiting for CC to input the dish-washing feature.
Posted by Charles Capps (Member # 9) on :
With orange dish washing fluid, no doubt.
Posted by Malnurtured Snay (Member # 411) on :
Hmmm.
Every now and then (since the update), I'll load Flare, and in any particular forum, the most recent poster will be shown as:
(Ch
in place of, for example,
(Charles Capps)
Earlier, I kept getting Stingray's 7:00am (West Coast time) "Enterprise" post as most recent, even though I and others had posted ... and no, I wasn't clicking the "back" button, I was reloading the page and still got that.

Sounds like a cookie problem to me. On the main page, click on "delete all cookies." If that doesn't work, my next piece of advice is to reformat your hard drive.
NOTE: The poster identified as "Siegfried" cannot be held responsible for the actions taken by other posters at the advice of the aforementioned Siegfried because the only computer advice he knows to offer is "reformat your hard drive."

"With orange dish washing fluid, no doubt."
Are you referring to your flare-modifying self as another person, Charles? Sounds like something Sol or Squid would've said.

I'm still waiting for the activation of the "rate user" function
*checks, rechecks, and checks again his 'To Kill' list of users*
Posted by Charles Capps (Member # 9) on :
Never, not a chance. Ever.
Posted by Siegfried (Member # 29) on :
So, I guess changing the new topics indicators were your way at getting back at me for insinuating that you were yanking our collective chain?
Posted by The359 (Member # 37) on :
CC just doesn't want to be rated as the Zero we all know he is
Posted by Charles Capps (Member # 9) on :
CC has FTP access and can manipulate his score to whatever he damn well wants it to be.
I think rating each other is silly and petty. If I could allow ratings without them being displayed in each post, I'd consider it, but we can't do that, so it won't work./

Rating the posters? I have a feeling my rating would about as low as my GPA at the moment.
And, Charles, are you trying to drive me insane!? You changed the new post indicators back to the previous scheme! No one believes me that they were changed yesterday!
Posted by Charles Capps (Member # 9) on :
They weren't.

Question
This has probably been posted on to death, but I used to be able to to edit my member status and since the updates I've lost that ability. Is this the way it has to be or has the bar been raised? Thanks Sincerely bear
Posted by Charles Capps (Member # 9) on :
That's still an admin-only function.
Posted by bear (Member # 124) on :
I Think I will take that as a yes...
Posted by Tahna Los (Member # 33) on :
For some strange reason, IEXPLORE is creating errors each time i try to go into and only into the Flameboard.

It's obviously the diabolicle work of right-wing hackers intent on keeping liberals out of political discussions.
