I have some exciting news for you.
During our most recent policy review meeting, Chris Martin, our Director of Special Member services, made what I feel is an excellent suggestion: "why not give a select group of Preferred members, longtime members who have fulfilled their commitment, the opportunity to join again with our great introductory offer, 10 CD's Free".
Well, Topher, I'm not interested in your new offer. Frankly, I don't have any more choices of CD's to buy at this current moment. What I'd like to know is, how did you know I was a member of one of those CD clubs? And how did you get such a cool job?

It's a strange thing, but *every* sentient race has its own version of this 'Chris Martin.' I suspect it's one of those great universal mysteries which will either never get explained or which would drive you mad if you ever learned the truth.
