I thought of putting this in Gen. Scifi, but I felt it would fit better here.

I am an old fan of Macross/Robotech, and I found these posable, non-transformable 7.5-inch action figures of their "Veritech Fighters"
on "Robotoys.com".

http://www.robotoys.com/cgi-bin/ams/shopzone30.cgi/st_prod.html?p_prodid=610&p_catid=49

The manufacturer is Toynami, they cost 17.95$ a piece, I am thinking of buying two (the VF-1S and the blue VF-1J).
The shipping to Sweden costs 37.50$ alone, so the total amount, excluding additional swedish import fees, would be 73.40$.

Not to mention they want me to e-mail photos of everything from my VISA-card to the fillings of my fuck**g teeth.

Do any of you hotshots know any better, cheaper way of getting these two little things into Sweden?
Without buying used products?

This nave swede is open to all suggestions, see I'm afraid these particular Robotech Figures will be taken off the market soon and replaced
by the second series of Robotech-figures which have a bunch of bulky extra armor and jetpacks welded on,
making them more rigid and a bit uglier IMO.

No, there's no AI in these things. They are vehicles, not robots.
And there's more blood and loss and less megalomaniacal laughing.

Can you have someone in a different country buy them and send them to you?

Hey, cool. Those things remind me of the Land-Air-Mechs from Battletech. Whether or not FASA copied Veritech when they created them I do not know. Kinda seems like they did though. I wouldn't really be surprised.

Yes. Except for the fact that Macross has been around since the 70s (I believe).

Also, er, you do realise where the original Transformer toys came from, don't you?

Nimmy: I think Worlds Apart in Liverpool might have them. Let me check the price and I'll get back to you.

Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

Psyliam: I would very much appreciate that, thanks!

DaBang: If you feel that way, I think you'll be interested in this little tidbit, an enemy (Zentraedi) command battle pod, from some of the first episodes of Robotech/Macross:
http://www.robotech.com/infopedia/mecha/viewmecha.php?id=37

That design remind you of anything?
