...But I had a horrific dream last night, one that had me most disturbed for most of the day. First of all I dreamt that old Bill was beaten up quite badly in an elavator by two asian guys, one looked like Sulu.

The next thing I know he's burning alive, nailed to a tree in my back garden. Don't know how he got there but he burned until his skeleton disintegrated and came falling to the ground in pieces.

God what's wrong with me? I get very weird vivid dreams a lot of the time, but this one was nuts.

This is a powerful spiritual experience you have had. With your permission, I'd like to retell it in the scriptures of my upcoming Shatnerology page. Its important that we all share our thoughts, dreams and visions of what Shatner has taught us, to better understand his teachings.

Was it Shatner 'now' or Trek era Shatner - or even T.J. Hooker Shatner!?! [Wink]

That does indeed sound like a bizarre dream. Anyone had 'trek' dreams - they are sometimes REALLY fantastic (for me at least) You can't beat the effects in your dreams... Once was when DS9 was on and I was in a ship... and we flew really close from Deep Space Nine and through this group of ships - flying REALLY REALLY close to a Klingon Vorcha Battlecruiser - it loomed over us.

Another had Myself?? Picard and Guinan in a ship/shuttlecraft!?!

Another was me?? walking through the Turbolift (the one that's supposed to go to the battle bridge) onto the bridge behind Captain Picard and Dr. Crusher and she was discussing some situation that was at hand - that's all I can really remember of those dreams - fragments.

Anyone else?

Andrew

No Star Trek connection, but last night I dreamed that I was in Los Angeles and it was controlled by the Nazis, who were eager to pry some information I had (but wasn't aware of) out of my head. But some of them just wanted me dead.

Anyway, I managed to escape when the chair that hurled me towards an explosion somehow failed to get all the way there. I rolled down the hall, smashed a window, and escaped into the yard. Then I had to climb a fence and run up a very steep embankment to the freeway. I waved and waved, but no one would stop.

What a drag.

I can't remember the last dream I had that didn't vanish after waking up. Must've been like six months ago or something.

I've had a couple of unreal dreams too. In one, I was in some strange and ancient land (it just... felt ancient). Sort of a wilderness with canyons and savannahs. Anyway, can't remember what I was doing there, but there were herds of kangaroo-like animals. After a while I noticed that they had wings and they took off, flying around. I felt wonder that they had evolved to fly. Then I realised I had wings, and I jumped up and took off as well. The immersion in the experience was total. I was flying, and every detail was there, the wind, a sense of shock when I looked down to see the tiny features on the landscape far below.

It's not so often I get a dream like that.

I've only had one Trek dream I'm aware of - it was fairly recently, yet I've forgotten the details already.

I did have a dream last night I was in a tour group of some Eastern European country, it seemed to be Russia because at one point I passed a whole bunch of strip joints on a waterfront by a river and thought "Volga? Vulgar more like!" (such wit I exhibit in my dreams, I'm ashamed). Then there was looking in a dubious flea market, and trying to buy raspberry- or banana-flaboured yoghurt beer (Christ, what did they put in the food at that Vietnamese restaurant I went to last night?) with a 13-unit currency note.

I've never had any Trek-related dreams, but I once knew a girl who said she'd had Trek-related dreams about the two of us. How did I let that one go, anyhow?

*sigh*

I once had a dream that I was a contestant at a Dragonball Z-type martial arts tournament. I was fighting against my brother. He got cocky though and I managed to knock him out of the ring. Woo Hoo!

Trek Dream:

While I was in grad school, I had this dream that my friends and I were all having drinks in my best friend's trailer, when there's a sudden explosion outside. We rush outside to discover Romulan Warbirds blasting the campus, and Romulan troops rampaging through the streets.

Suddenly, we're all dressed in starfleet uniforms, and carrying phasers. My friends start shooting back at the Romulan troops. I find a "portable plasma cannon" (think a big, futuristic looking gun 3 feet long with a barrel about 5" in diameter that shoots blue balls of energy), and start firing at the Romulan ships. I destroy 2 and cripple 2 more before I wake up.

And weirder.. as soon as my friends and I exited the trailer, "The Wanted Man" started playing as a 'dream soundtrack.'

Really cool Dream:

I have the power to fly, and know it. I take off from my parents' house to fly cross-country to the nearest town to show off my gift, but I land in a valley with a small deserted 'ghost town' feel to it. Everything is grey and foggy. The buildings are concrete, but they're missing all their windows, and there's debris in some places. I can tell that the town hasn't seen humans in decades.

I can also tell that something IS here, something inhuman and malevolent, and it's watching me. I can feel it from every building in the ruins, there must be a bunch of them. They killed anyone who came here before. Perhaps they are the reason that the place is deserted.

I realize then that I'll have to destroy them. I look down at my hands, and they're growing claws. And armor. By back has grown long, leathery, spike-tipped wings. I feel my teeth growing sharper. I let out a low growl. I AM going to destroy them.

Something moves behind me. I turn, snarling...

Than I wake up.

I'm not so screwed up after all reading these. Aren't dreams cool? Like role playing adventure games some of them.

But yeh, I get Trek dreams fairly often.
