They're at it again.

Why build in France? What was the yard that traditionally made their ships? I know Harland & Wolff handled White Star, & the HAPAG yards handled the German lines...

So, does the "2" refer to the ship, or the queen? Same question applies to the QE2, actually...

The ship. It's an Arabic numeral, not a Roman one.

Well, I was going on the assumption that they were named for British monarchs. If not, there could be any number of whom I'm unaware.
