Argh. I hate Google.
I have been trying to find a good online resource for World War II era submarines - schematics, photos, the works. So far, I can't find any (I'm probably looking in all the wrong places). If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be appreciative.

Here are a couple I found in a quick Google search for "submarines". I haven't gone all the way thru them, but did find:
Submarines - lots of WWII info seems to be indicated here in the way of a Resources section.
British Submarines of WWII - seems to contain all kinds of pics
About Submarines - looks like some good resources pages here, too.
And that's all the research I'm doing for you.

This site has some very good info, I used it some time ago after I got curious about that U571 movie. The Atlantic theater is about the only area of WWII that I'm not well versed in.

I could'nt recall the site's name, but I put 'U-boat ww2" in Google, and there it was!

Scroll down to the WW2 bit; there's some info and pics of RN subs, as well as a bit on U-boats at war.
And U-571 was quite possibly the worst movie ever made. Not only was it a travesty of history it was just plain crap. If you want to watch a good submarine movie, watch Das Boot.
