Okay, something happened to my ICQ.A screen came up and told me, for some reason, I needed to convert my user files/database into the newer version. I don't know why, but I clicked Yes as there seemed no other option. Now my database has somehow reverted itself into how it appeared about six months ago. Exactly six months ago. I don't find that much of a coincidence. This means dozens of people are missing from my contact list. If you're on it, please contact me so I don't have to go find everyone again... Although I'd prefer to get it saved somehow. I have some backup files somewhere, but I don't know how to implement things... Thanks... ------------------ Elim Garak: "Oh, it's just Garak. Ok, I know what happened. Somehow your DBconvert.exe was accessed, and it detected your old database folder, and asked you to convert it. What it did was covert your old folder and rewrite your new one. You must have gotten a newer version of ICQ around 6 months ago, as that is when your ICQ stopped using the old DB folder... To prevent this from happening, just don't convert your database until you upgrade to a newer ICQ!------------------ "Freedom is best, I tell thee true, of all things to be won. Okay, thanks, Jeff! Helpful is the One Who Also Has Had ICQ Problems. It's too late, now, though. Lost eveything. Ah well. ------------------ Elim Garak: "Oh, it's just Garak. Plain, simple Garak.
