I was getting records from my parents because I was applying for a new job, and my parents couldn't remember what they did with or where they put my Birth Certificate and Social Security card, so, really, I don't exist as a person anymore! What a hoot! [ May 05, 2002, 11:06: Message edited by: Jack_Crusher ]

If you're lucky, you will get recruited by the CIA [ May 05, 2002, 11:30: Message edited by: Cartman ]

I think that you can get new copies of your birth certificate and your social security card. For your birth certificate, I think you need to contact the department of records or vital statistics for the county (I think) that you were born in. I know that my birth certificate has a blurb at the bottom about getting copies from a government office. For the social security card, you get to fill out a lot of forms and stand in a lot of lines at a federal building. Loads of fun.
Of course, being recruited by the CIA could be kinda cool.

Birth certificates are easy to get. It's going to cost money (e.g. $10 around here, or more or less depending upon where you are), but all it takes is a letter to the vital records department.
I wasn't even sure that getting a new SS card was possible, but I'll take Ziggy's word for it that it is. I'm not surprised, however, that it apparently takes a hell of a lot more effort.

Here you go, Jack_Crusher. It's from the FAQ of the SSA website. Apparently, you can do the request with online resources.
Go to the Social Security Administration website, click on the menu option "Frequently Asked Questions," and your question is number three on the list.
{Edit: Who the hell programs the government websites!? Damn superlong superannoying links that don't post well.} [ May 06, 2002, 08:27: Message edited by: Siegfried ]

Are they even your real parents? Are you even human? Whose to say they didn't find you in a corn field or something? Tried lifting the living room piano lately? Glowing in the dark? Seeing things that no one else can?

Well Jack, if you still can't find your identity then I suggest that you should sign up with the CIA so you can dye your hair and wear tight fitting and outrageous costumes on missions.

You have to fuck at least 3 members of royalty and 5 ducks up the arse.
Will that do?
