No matter where I go, every time I try to download an MP3 it doesnt work. Anybody have any idea why? I get something to the effect of "the server has returned extended information".

Stop using Internet Explorer, for one. That usually means the FTP server is full and you should try again later. You might wish to try a service like http://www.scour.net/Search/

What do you mean by stop using Internet Explorer?

I understand that you have something that plays mp3s.

Search for TMBG ones instead. Much more stable.

I'm guessing that the error message you mentioned is unique to IE, so CC knew you were using it. He took the opportunity to advocate the far superior (despite still being crappy) Netscape.
As for your MP3 problem... There are an inordinate number of servers out there that make you upload before you can download. The ones that don't require this often have as many people as can download at a time doing so. These combined factors make it (in my experience) nearly impossible to find MP3s. But, then, if you're looking for more popular, newer songs (which I'm not) you mau not have that problem.
Like CC said, try scour.net. You have to d'load a certain program in order to d'load some of the files, but it's not that big of a deal. I've had better luck w/ it than anywhere else, though, like I said, I haven't had good luck anyplace...

Tim's right, the "Server Returned Extended Information" is an IE-only error, because Microsoft decided that you should only be logging into good, active, low-user FTP servers and you have no purpose for real, descriptive error messages.

Thanks for the help, although whether or not I use IE isnt my decision so it'll still be here for a while.

Ok, I've played around a little while at Scour.net and it is much easier to use and works much more often. However, it doesnt have what I'm looking for while all the FTP sites that dont work do.

Its some music that I know has been used in many different movies although the only one I can remember it being in was Dragonheart. It was the theme to this movie which leads me to believe it was the first place it was used.

Ever heard of ratio FTP sites??
You have to upload something of (just over) the same size, before you can download something.
