Okay, as is my habit I was up late last night watching a documentary on one of the cable channels around here and something very strange caught my eye. There was a brief film clip of American servicemen, circa early '42, touring through London and stopping in front of a monument/statue of Abraham Lincoln. Can someone tell me if I'm seeing things? Is there actually a statue of Lincoln somewhere in London and can someone tell me why exactly? Or what it says? Thanks.

I'm fairly sure there is. Might be on Whitehall, but probably not. . . (lots of statues round there).
