The Valueclick banners are gone.

They will not return.

Be happy.

And there was much rejoicing. . .

*little flags wave about and a dispirited bunch of people going "Yay. . ." are heard*

Hooray! No more Netscape crashes as it desperately searches for oz.valueclick.soddingcom!

As for financing, may i suggest a tax on acronyms?

In short:
I got a job.

*LOL*

Previously I've had no income due to needing to do things like go to school school, and keep up here. And sleep. I recently got a tiny job, it pays around $300 a month. Not nearly enough to live off of, but it provides enough money to pay back the parents for what they've invested and keep this place afloat.

The banners from Valueclick ARE gone, but there will be an internal banner system for Flare and UP3 - any Member (not Jr or New) can insert a banner into the pool for his/her site. This system will use NO Javascript, and will not slow down the loading of the Forums in any way whatsoever. Thank goodness.

468x80, no larger than 13k. Animations OK, as long as they're not flashy. I'll post more details when Flare II is up.

So why is this thread title in German? And what does "the banners, the" mean?

Posted by Charles Capps (Member # 9) on :

I think there's a technicality I can pull here to counter that... Er... Something about being plural or not.

"Banner" ist ein Deutsch Wort (Deutschwort?), und sein Plural ist "Banners," so "Die Banners, Die" ist zwar "The Banners, the." Aber, es, und Lee, sind sinnlos.

(Notiz: Mein Deutsch ist nicht gut).

Actually this is better than the time some posters first spoke in German and then switched to Dutch. That was between RW and someone else (I don't recall whom).

Someday we'll have a thread that goes for a page or two before the gratuitous nudity shows up. This is my dream.
